Axwell: Center Of The Universe

The shadow of your smile
Under the open skies
As I close my eyes
I can feel the wind arise

We're made of stardust
Our lives ahead of us
We'll ride the magic bus into the heart of love

I can taste it, taste the feeling
Of the blue skies, they're for real
And we're the center of the universe
Just you and I, and I, and I

The shadow of your smile
Under the open skies
As I close my eyes
I can feel the wind arise

We're made of stardust
Our lives ahead of us
We'll ride the magic bus into the heart of love

I can taste it, taste the feeling
Of the blue skies, they're for real
And we're the center of the universe
Just you and I, and I, and I

I can taste it, taste the feeling
Of the blue skies, they're for real
And we're the center of the universe
Just you and I, and I, and I

I can taste it, taste the feeling
Of the blue skies, they're for real
And we're the center of the universe

Snowboarding in New York City

I occasionally watch the YouTube videos of Casey Neistat (b 1981), a New York film producer and videographer. His vlogs are well done and interesting personal takes on his life.

Wikipedia: On January 23, 2016, during the January 2016 United States blizzard, which caused travel bans in New York City, Neistat, his brother Dean, Oscar Boyson, and Jesse Wellens filmed a video through the empty streets of New York City. The 2-minute, 41-second video, titled "Snowboarding with the NYPD," showed Neistat being towed on a rope on the streets and through Times Square, after which a police officer pardons him. The video went viral, and gained 6.5 million views on YouTube within 24 hours.

Making of / Snowboarding with the NYPD - Jan 25/2016 (as of Sep 22/2016: nearly two million views)

In researching this blog post, I discovered this is not the first time Casey has filmed himself snowboarding in New York.

Neistat started to post daily vlogs on YouTube on March 24, 2015. On his May 15, 2015, vlog post "The Vice President, Outer Space and the Baby," Neistat stated that he sees his vlogs more as a forum as opposed to a daily journal. On January 19, 2016 Neistat posted his 300th vlog. As a result of vlogging everyday, Neistat said he has chosen to refrain from making any feature length content. Neistat is frequently seen using and discussing his collection of Boosted boards in his daily vlogs, which are sometimes showcased in his other YouTube videos.

On September 8, 2016, Neistat won GQ's "New Media Star" Man of the Year Award.

Disclosure: Magnets ft. Lorde

Never really felt bad about it
As we drank deep from a lie
'Cause I felt melting magnets, babe
The second I saw you through half-shut eyes

Smoke and sunset, off Mulholland
He was talking, I was wondering 'bout
You and that girl, she your girlfriend?
Face from heaven, bet the world she don't know

Pretty girls don't know the things that I know
Walk my way, I'll share the things that she won't

Uh-oh, dancin' past the point of no return
Let go, we can free ourselves of all we've learned
I love this secret language that we're speaking
Say it to me, let's embrace the point of no return
Let's embrace the point of no return
Let's embrace the point of no return

Never really thought we would make it
We be thinking about what could have been
But we've had a record summer, can't turn it down, oh
Now I don't wanna see the end begin

Smoke and sunset, off Mulholland
He was talking, I was wondering 'bout
You and that girl, she your girlfriend?
Face from heaven, bet the world she don't know

Pretty girls don't know the things that I know
Walk my way, I'll share the things that she won't

Uh-oh, dancin' past the point of no return
Let go, we can free ourselves of all we've learned
I love this secret language that we're speaking
Say it to me, let's embrace the point of no return
Let's embrace the point of no return
Let's embrace the point of no return
Let's embrace the point of no return
Let's embrace the point of no return

(Let's embrace the point of no return)

Emo Philips: Divorce

It sucks being divorced. I'd much rather be a widower.

Men, make sure your woman never loses the tingle: t-i-n-g-l-e. My wife said she left me because she lost the tingle. And I'm still not exactly sure what a tingle is, but I have learned it's equivalent to one house.

Wikipedia: Emo Philips
Emo Philips (born Phil Soltanek; February 7, 1956) is an American comedian. Much of his stand-up comedy makes the use of paraprosdokians spoken in a wandering falsetto tone of voice. The confused, childlike delivery of his material produces the intended comic timing in a manner invoking the 'wisdom of children' or the idiot savant.

Wikipedia: Paraprosdokian
A paraprosdokian is a figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence, phrase, or larger discourse is surprising or unexpected in a way that causes the reader or listener to reframe or reinterpret the first part. It is frequently used for humorous or dramatic effect, sometimes producing an anticlimax. For this reason, it is extremely popular among comedians and satirists. Some paraprosdokians not only change the meaning of an early phrase, but they also play on the double meaning of a particular word, creating a form of syllepsis.

Armin van Buuren feat. Cimo Fränkel: Strong Ones

I've been calling
I've got endless reasons
Wait now, hold on
Say you still believe
we run straight through fire
But we can do better
We can do better
Save our lost time
Cause we can do better
We can do better

Cause all that we need
Is a second to hold on
Cause we are the strong ones
All that we need
Is a reason to fight on
Cause we are the strong ones
Yeah we are the strong ones
We are the strong ones
We are the strong ones

We are the strong ones
We are the strong ones

Don't think
Don't speak
Let's just sit in silence
Every heart beat
Makes it feel just like we
Run straight through fire
But we can do better
We can do better
Save our lost time
Cause we can do better

Cause all that we need
Is a second to hold on
Cause we are the strong ones
All that we need
Is a reason to fight on
Cause we are the strong ones
We are the strong ones
We are the strong ones

Is a reason to fight on
Cause we are the strong ones
We are the strong ones
We are the strong ones
