Embrace Your Sexual Fantasies for More Honest Living By Beatty Cohan, MSW, LCSW
although I have always had a rich sexual fantasy life, I too rarely shared these fantasies with anyone for fear of embarrassment. Fortunately, today I am in a relationship where I am able to not only talk about these fantasies, but to act them out as well, if I so desire.

Madonna: Vogue

Strike a pose
Strike a pose
Vogue, vogue, vogue
Vogue, vogue, vogue

Look around everywhere you turn is heartache
It's everywhere that you go (look around)
You try everything you can to escape
The pain of life that you know (life that you know)

When all else fails and you long to be
Something better than you are today
I know a place where you can get away
It's called a dance floor, and here's what it's for, so

[Chorus:]

Come on, vogue
Let your body move to the music (move to the music)
Hey, hey, hey
Come on, vogue
Let your body go with the flow (go with the flow)
You know you can do it

All you need is your own imagination
So use it that's what it's for (that's what it's for)
Go inside, for your finest inspiration
Your dreams will open the door (open up the door)

It makes no difference if you're black or white
If you're a boy or a girl
If the music's pumping it will give you new life
You're a superstar, yes, that's what you are, you know it

[chorus, substituting "groove" for "move"]

Beauty's where you find it
Not just where you bump and grind it
Soul is in the musical
That's where I feel so beautiful
Magical, life's a ball
So get up on the dance floor

[chorus]

Vogue, (Vogue)
Beauty's where you find it (move to the music)
Vogue, (Vogue)
Beauty's where you find it (go with the flow)

Don't just stand there, let's get to it
Strike a pose, there's nothing to it

Let your body move to the music
Oooh, you've got to just
Let your body go with the flow

Wikipedia: Vogue (Madonna song)
"Vogue" is a song by American singer-songwriter Madonna from her soundtrack album I'm Breathless (Music from and Inspired by the film Dick Tracy) and was released on March 20, 1990, by Sire Records. Madonna was inspired by vogue dancers and choreographers Jose and Luis Xtravaganza from the Harlem "House Ball" community, the origin of the dance Vogue, and they introduced "Vogueing" to her at the New York City club "Sound Factory". Jose Xtravaganza is featured in the Historic Art Documentary How Do I Look, directed by Wolfgang Busch. The song also appears on the 1990 greatest hits compilation The Immaculate Collection and Madonna's third greatest hits album, Celebration.

Music video
Filmed in black-and-white, the video recalls the look of films and photography from The Golden Age of Hollywood with the use of artwork by the Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka and an Art Deco set design. Many of the scenes are recreations of photographs taken by noted photographer Horst P. Horst, including his famous "Mainbocher Corset", "Lisa with Turban" (1940), and "Carmen Face Massage" (1946). Horst was reportedly "displeased" with Madonna's video because he never gave his permission for his photographs to be used and received no acknowledgement from Madonna. Some of the close-up poses recreate noted portraits of such stars as Marilyn Monroe, Veronica Lake, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn, and Jean Harlow.

Five for Fighting: What If

Threw a line out to pull you to me
If you don't get it, then you don't get it
You made your mind up before you knew me
If you don't get it, then you don't get it
Take my hand for a minute.
We're in it - imagine all the pain that might be forgiven

What if I had your heart?
What if you wore my scars?
How would we break down?
What if you were me and what if I were you?

What if you told my lies?
What if I cried with your eyes?
Could anyone keep us down?
What if you were me? What if I were you?

Had a dream of a new tomorrow.
If you don't get it, then you don't get it.
I took a step hoping you might follow.
If you don't get it, then you don't get it.
Take a chance for a minute. Jump in it.
Imagine if you asked yourself for a minute:

What if I had your heart?
What if you wore my scars?
How would we break down?
What if you were me and what if I were you?

What if you told my lies?
What if I cried with your eyes?
Could anyone keep us down?
What if you were me? And what if I were you?

To the ones who make it better, find to get out, gotta touch the other side.
What if all that it took to save our lives together was to wise up...

(Hey!)

What if I had your heart?
What if you wore my scars?
How would we break down (break down)?
And what if I were you?

What if I told your lies?
What if you cried with my eyes?
Could anyone keep us down?
What if you were me? What if I were you?

What if your hand was my hand?
Could you hold on or let go?
What if your life was my life?
Can you love what we don't know?
What if your hand was my hand?
Could we hold on or let go?
What if your life was my life?
And what if I were you?

Bruce Bickford, animator extraordinaire

Uploaded on Apr 23, 2008 by brighteyepics
8mm ANIMATION by Bruce Bickford
This is a rare glimpse at some of the early attempts made by Bruce Bickford to create stop-motion animation in the mid-1960s. Bickford is best known for his collaborations with Frank Zappa in the 1970s and has since influenced generations of animators with his startlingly original vision.

Wikipedia: Bruce Bickford (animator)
Bruce Bickford (born Seattle, 1947) is a maker of animated films who works primarily in clay animation. From 1974 to 1980 he collaborated with Frank Zappa. Bickford's animation was featured extensively in the Frank Zappa videos Baby Snakes and The Dub Room Special. Zappa also released a video titled The Amazing Mr. Bickford, which was entirely composed of Bickford animations set to a soundtrack of Zappa's orchestral music.

Bickford's animations depict surreal scenes based on his unique worldview. Often outwardly seeming to be somewhat disconnected from the world around him, Bruce Bickford's work is extremely subjective in its content and concepts, making for some disturbing and shocking imagery. Much of his video work depicted fast-moving, fluid-like transformations of human figures and disfigured faces into odd beasts on surreal structural settings with impressive camera effects (moving around within his stop-motion animation).

His life and work were featured in the 2004 biographical documentary film Monster Road, directed by Brett Ingram, which has won numerous film festival awards and garnered acclaim in many countries.

Bud Light Magazine Buyer by Duncan Macleod

Anheuser Busch presents us with “Magazine Buyer”, a tongue in cheek commercial designed for the internet only. The 90 second advertisement presents us with a self conscious Bud Light buyer who unwittingly becomes branded as the Porno Guy.

Jim Scott, a 20-something guy, grabs a six pack of his favorite beverage, Bud Light from Anheuser Busch, only to be asked by the cashier, “Just a Bud Light, huh?” Slightly embarrassed, he looks around and adds a few items to his shopping list, a lip balm, a copy of Tongue and Cheeks, and some batteries for his watch. Unfortunately for our hero, the woman has to ask her husband where they keep this particular piece of porno. Just as Jim receives his magazine, in comes Heather, the girl he last saw at the school prom. It gets worse though. The magazine comes with a free copy of Pink Slips, and a pocket vibrator or a 12 inch dick – free. Could it get worse? Yes, if worse involves becoming a hostage in an armed hold up, and appearing on national TV and named as a porn buyer.

Geesh, can't a guy buy some porn without it turning into a big deal? God, I hate it when this happens to me.

Claude Lelouch: C'était un rendez-vous (1976)

Claude Lelouch - C'était un rendez-vous YouTube 8:35
Published May 1/2017 by Daniel Thompson
Le film que vous allez voir a été réalisé sans aucun trucage ni accéléré
(The film you are about to see was made without special effects and was not speeded up.)

Wikipedia: C'était un rendez-vous
C'était un Rendez-vous ("It was a date") is a short film (under 10 minutes) made in 1976 by Claude Lelouch, showing a high speed drive through Paris.

The film shows an eight-minute drive through Paris in the early hours of the morning (05:30hrs) in August 1976, accompanied by sounds of a high-revving engine, gear changes and squealing tires. It starts in a tunnel of the Paris Périphérique at Porte Dauphine, with an on-board view from an unseen car exiting up on a ramp to Avenue Foch. Well-known landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, Opéra Garnier, and Place de la Concorde with its obelisk are passed, as well as the Champs-Élysées. Pedestrians are passed, pigeons sitting on the streets are scattered, red lights are ignored, one-way streets are driven up the wrong way, center lines are crossed, the car drives on the sidewalk to avoid a rubbish truck. The car is never seen as the camera seems to be attached below the front bumper (judging from the relative positions of other cars, the visible headlight beam and the final shot when the car is parked in front of a curb on Montmartre, with the famous Sacré Cœur Basilica behind, and out of shot). Here, the driver gets out and embraces a young blonde woman as bells ring in the background, with the famous backdrop of Paris.

A making-of-the-rendezvous documentary indicates that Lelouch himself was the driver, that the car driven was the Mercedes, although the sound track is from a Ferrari. On the chosen track there were two people who knew about Lelouch arrival. First there was Elie Chouraqui, his first assistant, who was posted with a walkie-talkie close to the Louvre palace, meaning to assist the driver at the only blind junction (archway); however, Lelouch has revealed that the radios failed, and if Elie had tried to warn him of a pedestrian the message would not have been received. The other person who knew about his arrival was Lelouch's girlfriend Gunilla Friden. He'd told her he'd arrive within ten minutes at the Sacre Coeur and asked her to appear upon his arrival.

Wikipedia: Claude Lelouch
Claude Barruck Joseph Lelouch (born 30 October 1937) is a French film director, writer, cinematographer, actor and producer.

Personal Note I lived in Paris for part of 1980 boarding with a French family while I went to school. I saw this film in a movie theatre on the Champs-Élysées when it was presented as the short before the main attraction. I don't remember the main film but I never forgot this short. Some say it surpasses the car chase from Bullitt and let's add that Bullitt was a staged car chase while this was real.

During my stay, I visited all of the places shown in the film and I have been back a few times since. In writing this article, it was the first time I had seen the film since 1980 so it brought back a lot of memories. I have walked through the archway at the Louvre Palace and believe me, driving through there at high speed considering the risk of pedestrians is just plain nuts. Ce gars était tout à fait cinglé! I apologise. I could not find a copy of this "making off" video either dubbed or with sub-titles. It's in French, malheureusement, but I thought to include it anyway just to be comprehensive. This is your chance to learn to parler un peu.

Other "Rendezvous" related videos
Other people have payed homage to Monsieur Lelouch but I'm not sure anyone has attempted to go all out like he did. Fortunately, Paris was quiet at 5:30am but let's not forget, Paris is a huge city and is always active so M. Lelouch's success was based on a great deal of good luck. Do not try this at home, kids. Fast and furious? How about fast and crazy?

It took Lelouch 8 mins to cross Paris. It took me 21:40 in the rain, and abiding to traffic lights. Ironically, my video camera died just after I reached the Sacre Coeur. My only deviation from Lelouch's route was near the Louvre, to avoid a one way road. An awesome experience.

Robert Palmer: Simply Irresistible

How can it be permissible?
She compromise my principle, yeah, yeah
That kind of love is mythical
She's anything but typical

She's a craze you'd endorse, she's a powerful force
You're obliged to conform when there's no other course
She used to look good to me, but now I find her

Simply irresistible
Simply irresistible

Her loving is so powerful, huh!
It's simply unavoidable
The trend is irreversible
The woman is invincible

She's a natural law and she leaves me in awe
She deserves the applause, I surrender because
She used to look good to me, but now I find her

Simply irresistible
Simply irresistible

Simply irresistible she's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went
Simply irresistible she's all mine, there's no other way to go

She's unavoidable, I'm backed against the wall
She gives me feelings like I never felt before
I'm breaking promises, she's breaking every law
She used to look good to me, but now I find her

Simply irresistible
She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went
Simply irresistible, she's all mine
There's no other way to go!

Her methods are inscrutable
The proof is irrefutable, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
She's so completely kissable, huh
Our lives are indivisible

She's a craze you'd endorse, she's a powerful force
You're obliged to conform when there's no other course
She used to look good to me, but now I find her

Simply irresistible
Simply irresistible

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went

Wikipedia: Simply Irresistible (song)
"Simply Irresistible" is the first single released by English rock singer Robert Palmer from the 1988 studio album Heavy Nova and is presented in one of the most distinctive and memorable music videos of the 1980s.

Along with "Addicted to Love" and "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On", "Simply Irresistible" is among Palmer's most recognized songs, in part because of the iconic music video by renowned British fashion photographer Terence Donovan... The videos show Palmer surrounded by enigmatic women, styled in the manner of the artist Patrick Nagel. The video featured the leading "supermodels" and leading dancers that he met while visiting the Kentucky Derby (Karen Aubrey McElfresh, Kim Jones and Cheryl Day); Donovan's lighting and direction set the style for that era of music videos.

Wikipedia: Heavy Nova (album)
Heavy Nova is the ninth solo studio album by Robert Palmer, released in 1988.

Wikipedia: Robert Palmer (singer)
Robert Allen Palmer (19 January 1949 – 26 September 2003), born in Batley, Yorkshire, was a Grammy Award-winning English singer-songwriter. He was known for his distinctive voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, pop, reggae and blues. He found success both in his solo career and in the supergroup Power Station, and had Top 10 songs in both the US and the UK.

His iconic music videos by Terence Donovan for the hits "Simply Irresistible" and "Addicted to Love", featured identically dressed dancing women with pale faces, dark eye makeup and bright red lipstick, which resembled the women in the art of Patrick Nagel, an artist popular in the 1980s. Sharp-suited, his involvement in the music industry commenced in the 1960s, covered five decades and included a spell with Vinegar Joe.

Rollin' Wild

FlyingStone: If all animals became round overnight, would their daily life still run that smoothly? This was the question we were dealing with whilst working on the concept for the world of “Rollin’ Wild”, which started life as a series of four clips created at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in 2012.

ROLLIN` SAFARI - what if animals were round?

The CGSociety - Jan 29/2013
Production Focus: Rollin' Safari by Paul Hellard
Visuals of an African chase in the wild conjures up the depiction of sublime native animals in mortal combat. A spectacle some cannot watch for long, but others can’t peel their eyes from it. These scenes are somehow different.

“Our initial idea was to tell a high-speed chase, but just a little different to known scenarios. Imagine the story of a hunter pursuing a fat, rolling deer in the forest. We thought that would be hilarious,” Producer Philipp Wolf says. “We loved the idea of rollin' animals so much, we decided the hunter should be an animal as well! That's even more hilarious! It would also take place in the Savannah because it gives a bigger choice of typical wildlife hunting scenes.”

Rollin’ Safari was a student project, produced as part of the Subject Area Animation at the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction. ... [They founded] a company called ‘Flying Stone GbR’ with the goal of developing Rollin’ Safari into a trans medial experience called Rollin’ Wild (www.Rollin-Wild.com).
