Whoa!

*said in a Dracula-like accent* "You vill fall under my spell and you vill obey me." (evil cackle)

Okay, what the heck does the following have to do with anything? In looking at the above mesmorizing image, I think of Count Dracula and him hypnotising his victims. I think of a Transylvanian accent. I do a Google search for something about Dracula and end up in a user group where a guy explains the accent as sounding like the "Cheeky Girls." Cheeky Girls? Who's that?

"The Cheeky Girls" are a Romanian-born British based pop duo consisting of twin sisters Gabriela and Monica Irimia, originally from Cluj-Napoca. After appearing as auditionees in Popstars: The Rivals [British television talent show], they achieved success in the charts with four top ten hits between 2002 and 2004. They are best known for their debut single, "Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)", which has sold more than 1.2 million copies worldwide.

OMG! I lead such a sheltered life. I have never heard of this. (Hmmm, now that I have, do I wish I hadn't? Ha, ha.) Well, we all deserve our place in the sun and our shot at fame and fortune. So that's Count Dracula's accent. Not quite the Bella Lugosi I had in mind but this ended up being an amusing detour in pop culture.
